There were 600,000 African-American Rosie the Riveters. They basically did whatever men were doing prior to the war." "WWII, in my opinion, was the most significant time period and the most significant event in the 20th Century for African-Americans.
**Rosie the Riveter** is an allegorical cultural icon in the United States who represents the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II. .. As a sidenote.. My Father served in the Army WWII. My husband the Air Force Vietnam, and my son is in the Army now.
Black women were also excluded from joining established unions and were often given harder or more dangerous jobs. These black Rosies included Tina Hill, whose story was captured in Rosie The Riveter Revisited.Jul 18, 2022
Anyway.. check pictures closely for size.
I used Ultra-Hold no sew Heat Bond,
The instructions as follows.. Place material adhesive side down, on top of project. Press and hold iron for 8 seconds on each section until entire piece is bonded.
times listed above are for cotton. Iron light fabrics for only 6 seconds and an additional 2 seconds.
I always want to add.. if you plan on putting any of my patches on an item that will be washed often.. please use some extra fabric glue or sew tac down the edges. And.. For machine washing, turn garment inside-out before washing and drying.
Thanks for choosing my small shop for your embroidery patches!!
